Actor Ben Affleck watched in horror as the fire approached his neighborhood and rushed to his ex-wife, actress Jennifer Garner, to take care of his children.

Ben Affleck was photographed driving home in the upscale Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles on Tuesday, shocked by the chaos of the approaching wildfires. The 52-year-old actor rolled down his window to get a better look, a look of shock on his face. A short time later, he drove to Jennifer Garner’s home in the nearby Brentwood neighborhood.

According to Dailymail , Ben is living alone in a rented villa in Pacific Palisades. The Batman star also bought a magnificent villa worth 20 million USD in this neighborhood 5 months ago, after divorcing singer Jennifer Lopez.

Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner and their children are safe, according to a source. As of Wednesday afternoon, Garner and her children had not been evacuated from their home. Ben was seen visiting neighbors in Brentwood that afternoon.

The Los Angeles wildfire has destroyed homes belonging to Hollywood celebrities and forced thousands to evacuate. The fire has burned more than 1,200 acres in the Pacific Palisades area, home to many of the celebrity estates and sprawling mansions perched on vegetation-covered hills.

The disaster has led to the cancellation and postponement of numerous events, including the Critics Choice Awards on January 12. The premiere of the Ben Affleck-produced film Unstoppable , starring Jennifer Lopez, has also been postponed.
