Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds: first public appearance since Justin Baldoni affair

This Sunday, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds attended the 50th anniversary of “Saturday Night Live” in New York.

Since her complaint filed against Justin Baldoni last December, Blake Lively had chosen to remain discreet. She accused the director of “It Ends With Us” of moral and sexual harassment, and a legal battle had begun between the two co-stars. But this Sunday, February 16, the actress of “Gossip Girl” came out of the shadows. Alongside her husband Ryan Reynolds, she made her first public appearance in New York on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of “Saturday Night Live”, a cult program in the United States. A remarkable outing in front of the photographers, during which Blake Lively displayed a broad smile.

In the middle of a legal battle, Ryan Reynolds dares to make a joke

While the “Saturday Night Live” show is known for joking about pop culture news, it did not deviate from the rule this Sunday, February 16, with the support of Ryan Reynolds. While the actor was taking part in a question-and-answer session, actress Tina Fey asked him: “How are you?” To which Blake Lively’s husband responded, not without a touch of humor: “Great, why? What did you hear?” A joke that comes as Justin Baldoni has filed a defamation lawsuit, among others, against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, but also their publicist Leslie Sloane.

As a reminder, Blake Lively accused the director of moral and sexual harassment in a complaint filed last December, following their collaboration on the film “It Ends With Us.” She also accused him of being at the origin of a smear campaign against her.
