Michelle Keegan gives ‘magical’ update two weeks after birth of daughter

Michelle Keegan has given fans a rare glimpse into motherhood after welcoming her first child into the world.

The Brassic actress, 37, and husband Mark Wright, 38, welcomed daughter Palma Elizabeth Wright into the world earlier this month, and the pair are now soaking up parenthood.

Taking to social media, Michelle posted a sweet photo of her newborn after sharing the happy announcement of her arrival on March 6.

The former Coronation Street star posted a photo of the sole Palma’s foot to her Instagram stories on Saturday.

Michelle captioned the post: ‘Simply magic.’

It comes after Mark held back tears as he paid tribute to his wife following the birth of their daughter as he returned to work.

Speaking on his Heart FM radio show alongside co-host Olly Murs, Mark said: ‘Mate, it’s actually hard to put into words.

‘It’s the biggest achievement of my life it’s all I think about but obviously hats go off to my wife she is an absolute super human, a superhero for bringing this baby into the world.’

Mark added: ‘It makes you realise what our mums did for us and makes me have so much more respect than I already had and what women had to go through.

‘It’s the best feeling in the world. I wake up every morning just so excited to see her face.’

Speaking about the first time he held his daughter, the former reality star said: ‘That moment when I held her in my arms, it gets me emotional now thinking about it.’

Mark also detailed the decision to wait to have children, while the pair both focused on their careers.

‘It’s a very special feeling. I can’t really put it into words. We’ve waited a little bit of time, we’ve chased our dreams and our careers and now we’re here. We’ve got a baby,’ he said.

Sharing the news that they had welcomed their first child, Michelle and Mark shared a black and white image, which has a portion of Palma’s face off-camera, shows the newborn dressed in a knitted white top and hat with her parents’ hands entangled with hers.

The couple have been married for ten years and shared the emotional news of Michelle’s pregnancy in December with a beachside photoshoot.

They were dressed in all white, and the image showed Michelle’s bump as Mark walked towards her with his back to the camera.
