Kelly Clarkson’s ‘stepmom’ Reba McEntire hopes singer & ex-husband Brandon Blackstock can ‘pull through’ after divorce

KELLY Clarkson’s stepmom, Reba McEntire, hopes the singer and ex Brandon Blackstock will “pull through” after their nasty divorce.

The Voice coach has been battling her former manager and husband in a tense court battle over her multi-million dollar estate and spousal support.

In the midst of the former couple’s drama, Reba, 66, broke her silence on the emotional matter.

The country superstar was married to Brandon’s dad, Narvel Blackstock, for nearly 30 years from 1989 until 2015.

Being so close to the situation, she said in an interview with Extra: “You know, I love them both.

“Brandon’s my stepson, Kelly’s my good friend… I am pulling for both of them. I hope they’re happy and healthy and pull though this.

“I pray everyone gives them the encouragement they can because they need it right now, both of them do. I love the both of them with all my heart.”

She gave a similar answer that was much more vague in the past, saying: ”I’ve been a friend of Kelly for a long time.

“Brandon’s been my son forever, it seems like. Although he’s my stepson, I still love him like he’s my blood. So I’m praying for them both.”

Reba and Kelly, 39, co-headlined a tour together during 2008’s 2 Worlds 2 Voices tour.

In 2018, the Kelly Clarkson Show host paid tribute to her former mother-in-law at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2018.

Later that same year, they also performed a duet together at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

In addition, Reba has been a guest on Kelly’s talk show in recent years.

Kelly has gushed about the Fancy singer in the past, and told viewers on her talk show: “I’ve been a fan of Reba since I was a little girl.

“Her voice has always felt nostalgic for me. Even as an adult, there’s something about her tone and her storytelling that just feels like home.

“Sometimes when we meet our heroes, it doesn’t always pan out how you hope. But meeting Reba – being friends with her, and eventually becoming family – has been one of the highlights of my life, truly.

“So thank you so much for listening to me vent as an artist. Thank you so much for comforting me on the phone through my tears, like a friend.

“And thank you for being a really rad grandma for my kids.”

Kelly is now officially a single woman, as of a few weeks ago, following her difficult divorce from Brandon, with whom she shares two kids.

OFFICIALLY A SINGLE WOMAN

Despite the divorce being finalized, the specifics on a few matters, including property and custody disputes, are still ongoing.

Last week, a judge ruled that Kelly will get to keep the Montana ranch, despite Brandon currently living in it.

Brandon had argued that the ranch is “marital property,” but the judge decided it fell under the prenup the exes shared, making the pop star the sole owner.

However, Brandon made a statement that the judge has not yet ruled on who gets the ranch.

On September 30, a signed judge’s order rejected Brandon’s claims, saying “The Court therefore rejects Respondent’s [Brandon’s] position that the Montana Ranch and other Montana properties are marital property owned 50/50 by the Parties.”
