Snoop Dogg Has Gifted This Hilarious Nickname to Fellow ‘The Voice’ Coach Reba McEntire
Despite her warm, motherly demeanor, Reba McEntire is a formidable opponent on The Voice. The “Fancy” singer came just short of winning her first season when team member Ruby Leigh finished runner-up to Huntley (of Team Niall Horan.) When she returned for season 25, there was no stopping her. Team Reba’s Asher HaVon dominated the season, giving his coach her first win. Now, Reba is back for season 26, and she’s prepared to fiercely defend her title. Keep reading to learn the hilarious nickname that newcomer coach Snoop Dogg has bestowed upon the “Queen of Country.”
Snoop Dogg Calls His Fellow Coach “A Magnet for Talent”
Reba certainly doesn’t need an ego boost, as she’s still “on a high” from her season 25 victory. However, The Voice newcomer Snoop Dogg couldn’t help but heap praise on the “I Can’t” hitmaker. In fact, he’s already given her a nickname—and it’s a fitting one.
“She’s a magnet for talent,” Snoop said in a season 26 promo posted Sept. 17. “She says all the right things… Reba Magnet-tire, that’s what we call her on the set.”
“She don’t even have to say nothing,” the “Gin and Juice” rapper continued, awe creeping into his voice. “Like, sometimes people just come on just to be with her.”
He wasn’t done. “She knows what to look for. She knows how to pick ’em,” Snoop gushed. “If we were in school, she’s a straight-A student. I’m a D-student, but when I look at her paper, I get C’s.”
What Is Reba’s Season 26 Strategy On ‘The Voice?’ “Win This Sucker!”
The Voice kicks off season 26 tonight (Monday, Sept. 23) at 7 p.m. Central on NBC. Reba will face off against fellow veteran coach Gwen Stefani, along with newcomers Michael Buble and Snoop Dogg, as she defends her title.
Does the highly decorated country music legend have a plan to repeat her championship? “I’m looking for anything and everything,” Reba said in the same season 26 promo. “It worked last season.”
“I just want somebody to touch my heart,” she continued. “And let’s go have fun together and win this sucker!”
