Khloe Kardashian’s ex Lamar Odom reveals if they are back on after his shock cameo on her Hulu series

Khloe Kardashian‘s ex-husband Lamar Odom has revealed their current relationship status, after his shock cameo on the season six trailer of The Kardashians.

The 40-year-old reality star — who recently talked about ’empathy’ following backlash for water usage amid the L.A. fires — was previously married to the former professional basketball player from 2009 until their divorce was finalized in 2016.

When the trailer for season six of The Kardashians dropped on Friday, fans were stunned to see Lamar and Khloe reunite onscreen.

Lamar arrived at Khloe’s Beverly Hills home with a bouquet of red roses, triggering an emotional showdown between the pair.

Now the NBA alum has revealed how the meeting between the two was brought about, adding that he had no idea beforehand that it would be filmed.

After days of swirling speculation, Lamar also disclosed where he and Khloe currently stand, in an appearance on The Kyle And Jackie O Show.

Lamar arrived at Khloe’s Beverly Hills home with a bouquet of red roses, triggering an emotional showdown between the pair.

Now the NBA alum has revealed how the meeting between the two was brought about, adding that he had no idea beforehand that it would be filmed.

After days of swirling speculation, Lamar also disclosed where he and Khloe currently stand, in an appearance on The Kyle And Jackie O Show.

‘I think it’s healthy sometimes to move on, in a healthy way. Like I said, it’d be a blessing just to be her friend, just to be around her,’ he said.

Co-host Jackie Henderson then asked if Lamar has a girlfriend, to which he replied with an uncertain, protracted: ‘Um….’

He then clarified: ‘I have someone. I do have someone that’s dear to me. I’m not gonna name names. She knows who she is.’

Lamar also revealed how his latest meeting with Khloe came to be, sharing that the arrangements were made by their mutual friend Malika Haqq.

Several months ago, Lamar ‘bumped into’ Malika in Las Vegas, and she said: ‘You know, Lamar, I think it’s time for you and Khloe to – it’s been years, you haven’t seen her and if you’re up for it I think I can make it happen.’

He then arrived at Khloe’s home, bouquet in hand, only to discover ‘there was cameras there and it was like: “Oh, all right.”‘

However he took a relaxed view of the situation, saying it was ‘cool’ for the encounter to be filmed and adding: ‘I understand it.’

The teaser for the upcoming season — which will premiere on February 6 — includes plenty of drama for fans, including Kim dishing about a new romance.

At one point, the reality star expressed in a confessional, ‘I honestly think timing is everything.’

Khloe could then be seen talking to sister Kim and mother Kris Jenner and revealed to the pair, ‘You guys are never going to believe who I met with.’

The SKIMS founder curiously asked, ‘Who?’ before the clip jumped to Lamar walking into a house while holding a bouquet of red roses.

The trailer jumped to a confessional with Kris as she emotionally shared, ‘That was the love of her life.’

Khloe then can be heard sharing, ‘I don’t know this person anymore,’ although it is not known if she was specifically referencing to Odom.

In another snippet of Jenner’s confessional, she said tearfully that she was ‘devastated for her child.’

Khloe – who shares True, six, and Tatum, two, with ex Tristan Thompson – also told her family while raising her voice: ‘It’s the truth. The truth hurts one time. A lite hurts 7,000 times!’

The star and Odom first met in August 2009 and notably tied the knot just one month later in September during a lavish Beverly Hills ceremony.

In 2011, the former couple also starred in their own reality series titled Khloe & Lamar which aired for a total of two seasons.

After four years of marriage, Khloe filed for divorce from Lamar in 2013 when he was also embroiled in rumors of substance abuse issues.

A few years later in 2015 before their divorce was finalized, the TV personality notably rushed to Odom’s side when he was rushed to a Las Vegas hospital after being found unconscious in a brothel.

Kardashian eventually called off the divorce and the pair spent time together following his hospitalization.

But in May 2016, Khloe filed for divorce once again with a source telling People at the time: ‘This was always the plan.’

‘The divorce has never been officially off. Khloe was waiting for the timing to be right,’ the insider added.

‘She was loyal for a long time and taking care of him, but she’s not a babysitter and needs to move on with her life.’ And seven months later, the divorce was finalized.

Late last year in November 2024, the sports star opened up about his relationship with his ex Khloe during an appearance on the We’re Out Of Time podcast, per E! News.

‘I don’t speak to her much,’ he admitted, but added, ‘She still cares about me. But I don’t speak to her. I can text her and she’ll reply.’

On the episode, Odom also admitted to buying a sex doll that resembled Khloe. ‘When you’re really thinking about it, [it’s] like a doll.’

‘But then you think about like, mental health, and how important that is, not just in today’s time, but just from the beginning of time. A sex doll that looks like your wife is about mental health.’
