Kim Kardashian is finally giving some insight into her divorce from rapper Kanye West.

The revelations came on the February 13, 2025, episode of “The Kardashians.” In response to sister Khloe confiding more about her breakup with Lamar Odom, Kim seemingly spoke about the end of her marriage.

“That’s the hardest part, I’ve been there, when you don’t foresee something happening that really changes a person’s personality,” Kim said. “And then they’re not the same person and you can’t ever get that person back, but you can’t live with the new person. I get it.”

“I know you do,” replied Khloe.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West share four kids: North West, 11, Saint West, 9, Chicago West, 7, and Psalm West, 5. She clarified that her decision to split after six years of marriage was not made lightly.

“It’s tougher when you don’t want your marriage to end off of your personal reasons, but circumstances change that force your marriage to end,” she said in a confessional. “I’ve been there, Khloe’s been there, and so when you weren’t planning on that and that’s not really the outcome you want, but there’s no other option, I think it makes it harder to get over.”

Kim Kardashian Has Joked About Reasons for Split in the Past

While Kim Kardashian has not talked much about why she ended things with Kanye, she has joked about it. When she hosted “Saturday Night Live” in October 2021, Kim said in her opening monologue, “I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that, he’s the richest black man in America.

A talented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids. So, when I divorced him, you have to know it came down to just one thing: his personality.”

In a subsequent episode of “The Kardashians,” Kim confessed to sister Khloe that Kanye West had been in the SNL audience for her monologue. She said West walked out of the show and refused to talk to her after that because of the jokes.

“He walked out on ‘SNL’ like mid-monologue, so I haven’t talked to him since,” she said.

Khloe Kardashian Reunites With Ex-Husband Lamar Odom

Kim’s empathy was stirred by sister Khloe’s reunion with ex-husband Lamar Odom.

On the February 6 episode of “The Kardashians,” the exes sat down to talk for the first time since their divorce was finalized in 2016.

“I took you through a lot,” Lamar told Khloé during the emotional reunion. “Yes,” replied a reserved Khloe, “I can’t say that was the easiest time.”

“I love you for trying your hardest with me,” said Lamar, to which Khloe replied, “Thank you.” Lamar then stated, “The love, I don’t think it will ever go away. I know it won’t.” To that, Khloe only nodded.

Despite Lamar’s sentiment, Khloé was not feeling the love. In a confessional on the show, she said, “I don’t have a lot of emotions for this meeting.

I have dealt with so much trauma in this relationship. For years, this was such the love of my life that to learn how to unlove someone, to have to go through all that, it’s almost like a death.”

But talking to Kim, Khloe said she wouldn’t change a thing about marrying Odom. “That was the love of my life and if it wasn’t for drugs, I know we would still be married.

I don’t have a question about that. I know I picked the right person at that time. None of us knew he was on drugs until it was at least a year in.”
