The Wicked star, 38, who is up for the Best Actress In A Leading Role award, channeled her character, Elphaba, in a custom Louis Vuitton green gown.

Cynthia couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she stormed the red carpet in the dramatic bow-shaped garment.

As she geared up for her anticipated performance on stage alongside her co-star Ariana Grande, Cynthia struck a pose in her striking look.

Explaining the meaning behind her choice of ensemble, Cynthia said she ‘wanted a nod to Oz, we wanted a nod to green, we wanted a nod to Old Hollywood’, she told E!

Hoping to be the best win amongst the British stars, Wallace & Gromit is up for six Oscars nomination with Vengeance Most Fowl, as it made the list for Best Animated Feature Film.

The 70-minute long film premiered on Christmas Day and features the return of the iconic supervillain Feathers McGraw.
