Romi Imbelli and James Haven’s marriage is coming to an end.

The Real L Word star has decided to annul the marriage between herself and the actor, who is the older brother of Angelina Jolie.

In a statement shared exclusively with PEOPLE, Imbelli — who was previously known as Romi Klinger — opens up about the decision to move forward with annulment.

“After careful consideration, I have decided to move forward with the annulment of my marriage to James Haven. As reflected in public record, the reason cited remains fraud,” Imbelli tells PEOPLE. PEOPLE reviewed Imbelli’s filing and confirmed “fraud” was checked as the reason for nullity of the marriage.

“This has been a deeply personal and difficult decision, but one that I feel is necessary for my own well-being. I appreciate the support of those who have stood by me, and at this time, I am focused on moving forward with clarity and peace,” she continues.

“I’m finding healing through this process by putting my truth into words in my upcoming memoir, where I will share more about this chapter of my life and the journey that led me here.”

Though the statement comes seven months after the couple tied the knot, court filings obtained by PEOPLE indicate Imbelli filed the paperwork on Tuesday, Aug. 27 — 15 days after the wedding.

Just Jared was the first to report on the nuptials, which took place in an intimate ceremony in Laguna Beach, Calif. on Monday, Aug. 12, 2024. Imbelli later confirmed the nuptials in a since-deleted Instagram post shared on Jan. 1, 2025.

“In 2024, I married my best friend of 23 years. The details of our story are too personal and complicated to share now, but I am writing it all in my book. Our wedding day was intimate, just us and our parents while exchanging vows, with plans to have a larger celebration later,” she began her caption.

Imbelli then revealed that the pair, “had a big fight the next day,” bringing their union into question.

“After 5 months of much crying, healing, and reflection, we decided to work through our issues and are now planning a special day with my daughter. I feel liberated and ready to return to my husband and our home in LA. Everything that has happened in the last few months was all part of a greater plan, and I trust in God’s timing,” she concluded at the time.

Imbelli was previously married to musician Dusty Ray from 2011 to 2013. In 2015, she married chef Charles Imbelli, with whom she shares daughter Frankie, born in 2016. The two split in 2019.
