Drake teases “next chapter” that “may leave you feeling uneasy”

Drake has begun teasing his “next chapter”, which he claims may leave fans “feeling uneasy” – see what he had to say below.
The Canadian ‘Hotline Bling’ rapper took to Instagram last night (March 10) to begin the tease, writing: “U know I grew up non confrontational and always treated this game as a sport where my pen won gold, but my these days the podium has been hard for all of us to ignore.”
He goes on to continue: “I understand that this next chapter may leave you feeling uneasy, but I hope you see my honesty as clarity not charity that answers some questions especially about the unanswered texts you’ve been sending me.”

While the opening line of his post about growing up “non confrontational” may seemingly refer to last year’s heated beef with Kendrick Lamar – in August Drake teased “round two” in the feud though nothing has stemmed from it so far – the rest of his post is up to interpretation.
Drake most recently teamed up with PartyNextDoor for the album ‘$ome $exy $ongs 4 U’ on Valentines Day. Then, the Canadian rapper kicked off his first Australian and New Zealand tour in eight years but cut the run short with four shows left due to “scheduling conflicts”.
Just days after the cancellation, Drake was seen front-row at WWE’s Elimination Chamber event in Toronto, Canada.
Last week, it was revealed that Drake has settled his payola dispute with iHeartMedia and iHeartRadio after filing a legal action in November claiming that the two companies had received “covert payments” from Universal Music Group to promote Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’.
Drake filed a separate lawsuit against UMG in January alleging “defamation”, claiming that UMG knowingly released Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ and even approved of the song despite Lamar describing Drake and his peers as “certified paedophiles” who should “be registered and placed on neighbourhood watch”. Drake has reportedly since dropped “key allegations” in the case, and UMG has until March 17 to file for a dismissal of the case.
Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’, smashed numerous streaming records and went on to win five Grammys for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, and Best Music Video. He also performed the song at the Super Bowl in early February, which directly lead to a 430 per cent boost in the song’s performance on Spotify.
