With 4 NBA titles under his belt already, James had been one of the biggest stars in the NBA. In fact, his impact on the game has been so drastic that King James has often been compared with the likes of Micahel Jordan. While there has been a lot of debate on who the NBA GOAT is, James has made a strong point for himself, citing why he is more than an eligible opponent. In a recent milestone achieved, the Lakers’ star got himself into an elite list.
James is now 10th in the all-time scorer’s list for the Los Angeles Lakers. Despite his team losing to the Utah Jazz 119-131, James’ 18 points were enough to see him through. It helped James reach 10,603 points for the Los Angeles-based franchise, putting him in the 10th position. Now, this is quite an elite accomplishment as the list contains the likes of Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, and more.
However, that is not all. LeBron James has now become the very first NBA athlete to feature in the top 10 all-time scorer’s list for 3 different franchises. Apart from the Lakers, James is the number 1 on the list for the Cleveland Cavaliers with 23,119 points. Next up, the NBA legend stands at number 7 with 7919 points for the Miami Heat. Unfortunately, despite all the shining accolades, Bill Simmons has some harsh words to say about LeBron James.
Bill Simmons Cites LeBron James As One Of The Reasons For Plummeting NBA Ratings
The NBA has long suffered from low ratings. While many probable reasons have been cited, Bill Simmons has stated that LeBron James and Stephen Curry might be the culprits. Simmons opined that the surge in three-peat attempts from James and Curry has resulted in the ratings going down.
“There’s been so much what’s wrong with the NBA stuff. The Steph LeBron thing last night was the solution and the problem at the same time. Because it was the same thing for the Olympics too, right? It was awesome watching those guys. Hey, the old guys, look at it, they still got it,” Simmons chimed in.
Thus, it is evident that despite their glorious deed, LeBron James has been subjected to constant criticism. Now, it will be interesting to see how things pan out in the coming days for the legend.
